When I was going through cancer treatment, it wasn't just about getting through chemo or hitting milestones, it was about holding on to my dignity, my identity as a mom, wife, and career woman.

Cancer takes so much. But I was determined not to let it take me. I know firsthand how important it is to have support that goes beyond
medicine because while doctors focus on saving your life, you're just trying to live it.

At Artemis Esthetics & Wellness, our mission with Pink Boots & Country Roots is to raise funds and awareness to support the local Peoria community of cancer patients, particularly those battling breast cancer. This cause is deeply personal to Lindsey Swischuk, owner of Artemis, who has faced her own battle with breast cancer. Her journey has fueled a passion for ensuring that others fighting this disease have access to the care, resources, and support they need to navigate their own paths with strength and confidence.

Our event brings together the power of music, community, and generosity to help raise vital funds that go directly to local cancer patients. All proceeds from the event go to the OSF Cancer Institute Breast Cancer Supportive Services fund. This fund directly benefits individuals in the Peoria area who are undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring that the resources we provide stay close to home and directly impact those who need it most.

At Artemis, we are committed to helping individuals feel their best throughout their cancer journey. Artemis provides a range of services designed to support cancer patients, from skincare to wellness treatments that help maintain confidence and well-being during and after treatment. Having personally experienced the challenges of cancer, Lindsey understands firsthand the importance of self-care in the healing process. It is this understanding that drives Artemis’ commitment to offering treatments that help patients feel strong, rejuvenated, and empowered.

Through Pink Boots & Country Roots, we strive to raise the funds necessary to support both immediate needs—such as transportation, medical expenses, and daily living support—and longer-term wellness services like those offered by Artemis. By participating in our event, you help ensure that cancer patients in our community receive the comprehensive care and emotional support they deserve.
